Munich - Good Burgers, Good Beer

Our heads still spinning from our blast through Scandinavia, we hopped a flight back down to Munich for a Choppertown screening at a cozy neighborhood bar called Land Unter. Our buddy Michael from Voodoobeat set it up and it was a great night filled with much drinking of local brew, peach schnapps, and one of the best burgers I may have ever had. The bar is an amazing place because it sits right on the corner of a sleepy neighborhood, but has plenty of bike parking and outside seating.

We got a great surprise when we walked in the door and the guys said, "Someone's here to meet you." Lo and behold it was our buddy Jacqui from Chicago! She told us she was going to be riding her old Beemer across Europe and intended to meet up with us, but we never imagined she was such a ruler to really show up in Munich. Seriously, check out her blog, she's riding across Europe on her own and can always use a little gas money...or a place to crash for the night.

All in all Munich was such a quick stop we definitely need to head back there. The Bavarians were so warm and friendly and the town is beautiful. Don't forget to hit the Tal if you've only got a day to spend there.

The trip was starting to affect us a bit at this point and we had to leave early in the morning. Nevertheless, when a new friend offers you a drink how can you say no?
