NYC - A Step in the Right Direction

Mid-Ohio behind us, we hit the road for NYC. Being invited to have a screening at the famous Anthology Film Archives in NYC is a real honor and we were excited to present the film there not only because we're both from New York, but because it would be our first screening in the Big Apple as filmmakers. A lot of our buddies from the Jockey Journal came out as well as the VinMoto crew and a huge contingent of Scotty's family, it was like a reunion! Huge thanks to Barney and New Filmmakers... the screening behind us it was time to return back to LA, exactly two months to the day from the start of the One World Tour.

Mid-Ohio - So much to see, too little time

We arrived in NYC from Glasgow, slept for twenty hours, ate many helpings of mama DiLalla's pasta and hit the road for a twelve hour drive Mid-Ohio. I guess when you're on tour, as long as you keep moving it doesn't really catch up to you! Mid-Ohio was fantastic, it was our first time and the AMA was sponsoring our visit with showings of Brittown and the real VIP treatment (thanks guys!) We spent three days basking in the humid heat and drinking beers with our buddies Mark and Linda from the Ace Cafe, Fletch and his boys from the Ton-up Club, Mike Seate from Cafe Racer, and all the great people who came out to celebrate. What a blast, if you haven't been to the AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days, definitely put it on your calendar for next July. The weather sucks but the times are good... See you guys again in '09.

Scotland - Rainy days, warm people

Before heading home to the good ‘Ole U.S. of A we had a couple of days to head up to Scotland. My grandfather was born and raised near Glasgow, having worked in the shipyards before they closed. Being American, we’re all kind of used to being from “somewhere else” and it’s a rare and special treat to actually be able to see where part of my family came from. The Scots were great and warm and the land was beautiful. Definitely take the train from Glasgow to Oban if you get a chance, it literally cuts through the forest, past Loch Lomond and arrives at a misty paradise. After a couple of days to reflect on the crazy two-month tour (see the rest of our posts), we boarded the trans-Atlantic flight for home. Little did we know that we still had miles to go before we’d sleep.

Ps. I found haggis to quite delectable.
